Overview The LD6004 mmWave Radar Human Presence Sensor is a compact FMCW radar sensing module designed for accurate indoor occupancy detection. Unlike simple PIR motion sensors, LD6004 detects motion, micro-motion, and stationary presence, helping automation systems respond to real human presence—whether someone is walking, typing, or sitting still. Multi-target tracking for smarter automation This human presence sensor module supports tracking up to 3 targets and can output x/y/z position coordinates, enabling more advanced logic such as multi-person presence, area-based triggers, and directional behavior. It can also output auxiliary information such as target distance and speed, supporting richer room-awareness applications. Zone partitioning & masking to reduce false triggers LD6004 supports detection-zone partitioning and masked/blocked zones, allowing you to define active areas and suppress interference from unwanted regions (for example, hallways, outside a door, or background movement). This improves presence detection stability in real installations. Wide coverage, easy integration With up to 6m sensing range and wide angle coverage (±60° horizontal and ±60° vertical), the module is suitable for ceiling-mounted presence sensor scenarios in homes, hotels, offices, restrooms, and smart building spaces. For integration, it provides a UART serial interface with a documented protocol and configurable UART parameters, plus GPIO outputs for flexible signal handling. The compact 35×7mm form factor supports both pin-header connection and SMT soldering. Common applications Ideal for human presence lighting, smart appliances that switch between active/standby states, and smart home/building occupancy monitoring.
