The Worksafe Plus is a very hardwearing low stretch rope that uses a 32 braid polyamide (nylon) sheath over a 14 braid polyamide (nylon) core.
This rope was originally developed to withstand use with heavy loads on motorised winches and ascenders. It achieves this with a tighter weave on the sheath that increases abrasion resistance and durability. The rope also works well with manual rope grabs, descenders and back-up devices.
The 32 braid sheath is well balanced to give a rope with soft handling and which knots well, yet provides good protection against abrasion and ingress of dirt. It is one of the lighter 11mm static ropes at 74g /m whilst maintaining a respectable MBS of 33kN.
